3-hour & 6-hour custom tours: I’ll create a fully personalized itinerary just for you. A 30-minute online meeting is included so you can share everything you’d love to do, and I’ll do my best to make it happen.

90-minute Hang Out: Perfect if you feel a little unsure about exploring Tokyo on your own, or would like a local friend to join you at a shop or spot you’ve been wanting to visit. It’s a relaxed time together, without a pre-planned tour itinerary.

For the 3-hour and 6-hour custom tours, the price includes a 30-minute online meeting, personalized itinerary planning, and my guide services on the day.

For the 90-minute Hang Out, the price covers only my guide services during our time together. An online meeting and itinerary planning are not included.

Your transport, shopping, and meals are extra and paid locally during the experience. You’ll also cover Maru’s meals at the venue. I’ll choose restaurants to suit your budget.

Maru’s transport typically costs ¥1,000–¥2,000, depending on where we travel. This is a guide, not a fixed fee; actual transport costs are billed after the experience.

Send me your preferred date first. Once I’ve confirmed availability, I’ll guide you through payment. Your booking is confirmed when payment is complete. There’s no cancellation fee while we’re still discussing dates, before payment.

• At least 7 days before the experience starts: 100% refund.
• Less than 7 days, but at least 48 hours before the start: 50% refund.
• Less than 48 hours before the start, or a no-show: no refund.

All deadlines are based on the experience’s start time in Japan Standard Time (JST). Bookings made less than 48 hours before the start are non-refundable; this will be made clear before payment.

You can request one free date change at least 48 hours before the experience starts, subject to availability. If you change your date, cancellation refund deadlines will still be based on your original booking’s start date and time.

We’ll arrange a meeting point that suits your preferences. Meeting at your hotel is welcome, in the lobby or another public area. I’m unable to meet in hotel rooms or other private rooms.

We use trains, buses or taxis, depending on the custom tour itinerary.

Experiences generally go ahead in the rain. I’ll adjust our plans to suit the weather, including indoor options where appropriate.

If severe weather makes it unsafe to proceed, or if I need to cancel, you can choose to reschedule or receive a full refund.
